A Nutcracker Day in Leavenworth

Open house at the Nutcracker Museum! Historical Walking Tours

This historical "town" tour runs about 1-2 hours and is a gentle mostly flat surfaced walk. Get out your walking shoes and join us! Leavenworth is so rich in history and you will learn our fascinating story of our area before the 1960's. Come meet us at the Upper Valley Museum!  Ghost Bears: The Elusive North Cascades Grizzly
July 17-July 23 

 
Embark on an amazing backpacking adventure with expert wildlife biologists Bill Gaines, Andrea Lyons, Aja Woodrow, and James Begley as you venture into stunning mountain scenery in search of "ghost bears." This incredible in-depth experiential learning experience with Wenatchee River Institute will include the latest research techniques, biology and ecology of rare carnivores, and the recovery and conservation of endangered species. Come join the quest to secure credible evidence that the North Cascades grizzly bear still roams these rugged mountains and support the Cascade Carnivore Connectivity Project. For more information click here.

Founded in 1966, this outdoor art show is sponsored by a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarships for art education.
